Future of HMIs

Augmented reality is the result of using technology to superimpose information on the world. It adds to the reality rather than replacing it. This opens the opportunity to place more information around the user. Think of it standing in Times Square! Technologies like S.L.A.M. (simultaneous localization and mapping) and depth tracking along with recent developments in Vision processing and shrinking of silicon has made this technology a reality.

Augment the world around you.

Description

What is the project?

This project aims to change the way a HMI is seen in industrial automation. Augmented Reality is the future of HMI as it overcomes a lot of problems with traditional HMIs.

The UI is no longer limited by a small screen, the whole world around you is a UI.

The description will be updated once the project is developed further. As you can imagine projects like these take a lot of time to develop. Please visit the blog for updates regarding this project.
